no spoilers please unless there there is an npc that will inable me to get the item with out fighting for them please explain the deal with cap lock dont remember reading about. no offence to anyone

I dont believe you have much choice in fighting the guardians. Just cause you have no choices in response they will attack you regardless. I have not tried it but maybe you can sneak in and pickpocket them with a thief.
