Skalds/Blades

Post by KaesarSosei »

Anyone else noticed that with ToB, SKalds are completely useless compared to Blades because of the ENhanced Bard Song ability??!!!

Anyone disagree with this?

Well, they're not completely useless. :D I always liked the blade better, though.
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

It is great fun making a party of 6 Bards (2 of each kit) and take them thru SoA/ToB! No power gaming at all, just sheer role playing.

I was glad I did, because when I reached the improved Balthazar and Draconis & Co, they didn't stand a chance. My bards were in the lvl 30s.

Try it and see.

Hmm, I find myself agreeing with KS here. The Enhanced Bard song that they ALL can get really makes the bonuses a skald gives look pathetic. However, they are better at lower levels, getting +1 to hit and damage with all wpns, and the song rocks at low levels.

@BG fan, well, you COULD do that, or go for the NPCs. Or Solo it if you want.
I don't like player made parties, to easy to powergame
The waves came crashing in like blindness.
So I just stood and listened.
