help in underdark

am in underdark. journal is telling me i have recieved the gem of light to get down to the dragon. do not have this gem. must have foolishly disgarded it somewhere in this nightmare place. have spent days looking for it. want to kill!!! can i get down any other way. or am i stuck. please someone help me. am going insane.

You need the gem. You can cheat it in - its code is misc9r.

Just a thought...

Have you tried going down to the dragon lair anyways? I don't know what will happen, but you might be able to go down there just because you have finished the prerequisite quests. Alternatively, check to see if you accidentally put it in your bag of holding or gembags. I'm not sure if it will go into any of them, but it is worth a check. Just in case you don't know what it looks like, it is a pale yellow gem shaped like a diamond.

I found that using some (especially dodgy, extra dangerous, still in testing, never to be used without careful supervision) custom items made stuff vanish out of my inventory, and I never did find out why. Could be you're having the same trouble. Glad to say I am not experiencing the problem anymore, so it must just have been a bizarre inexplicable side effect of some header combo I had.

There is a program call shadowkeeper, which will let you get every item in the game. You have to ask someone else for the link and how to use it cause I forgot.

It's a damn good thingie, you won't need to much of an explanation since it works very user friendly. Start the SK, then just open one of your savegames and go to the iventory tab and click 'add' or something then choose. You will see...

Have fun, but know its some kind of cheating if you change too much though
