Post by fatcow15 »

Hello, I know that jaheira is a half druid half fighter, but she cant use any weapons hardly!!!

Staff of Woodlands +4, I think it is called, but you get it pretty late in the game.

Jaheira can only use druid weapons.
Simitars.
Clubs.
Slings.
Staffs.
If a weapon can be use by a druid, she can use it.

Yeah I also have her in my party, and chose to make her a slinger. She can use Everard's Sling very well, if you want her for melee my only suggestion(if you are evil) try to take out drizzt, he might have a good scimitar or two............ Image

I actually really like Jaheira for some reason, maybe it's her druid spell ironskins plus the fact that she can wear the amulet of power to fend off level drain attacks from vampires...and cast fire elementals...

Because of that, I go straight to Trademeet and try to save the city. Then I buy the Club +3 BlackBlood (? not sure of the name) from the town. She does mighty well after that.

There's also a Spear of Withering +4 in the Underdark...but I prefer her with a heavy duty AC boostin' shield.

I have her wielding Rashad's Talon, a +2 scimitar that the genie in Trademeet gave me as a reward for killing the rakshasa. There is also a good club called gnasher something. I use the scimitar and a sling.

Anothet good combo is the Club +2 Gnasher with Scimitar +2 Belm. This combo works great for fighter/driuds since they get one extra attack per round (provided by Belm).Jaheira performed excellent with these weapons, even as a frontline fighter.

I find it odd that Jaheira can't use Wakizashis/Ninja-Tos.

Isn't scimitar in the same weapon proficiency as these two???

It's only +2, but Belm (extra attact per round) works well under most circumstances. I haven't done the math, but once you get her THACO down a bit, it at least seems to be more efficient than Gnasher.

I give her a nice sling and let her hang around and throw rocks. Something she seems to be good at.

She casts spells sometimes too.......

Dual wielding the two scimitars Rashad's Talon and Belm she is a force to be reckoned with
Jaheira also handles the "Spear of the impaler" pretty well too.......

Bill hit on my favorite combo for use with Jaheira: Gnasher +2 and Belm +2 (with it's extra attack)

That is, if you don't want to use a spear.

I use the staff of Rhym(sp?) +4, you can get it early in the game, if you dish out the cash in The Avd. Mart - she useally have around 20% kills in my games - that's not so bad

I thought that Dritzz's swords only could be used by a Good character, and Jaheira is Neutral

I think neutral and evil characters CAN use the Frostbrand - but not the +5 Defender (which obviously is the better weapon)

Most people overlook the main advantage of +2 Gnasher:this club continues to do damage after a succesful hit for 4 rounds (2 pts for each round). So it is ideal to disrupt enemy clerics and mages.

Jaheira was the cleric killer in my game. After a succesful hit, enemy clerics who tried to cast a spell (or heal themselves) were doomed. She could disrupt enemy mages too,but i prefered my inquisitor abilities for that job.

For Jahaira...it depends on your protagonist's class...if you are the fighter type..then give her the everland sling...She's an ok fighter but will never do as much damage as minsc or valygar or keldon. In case you didnt know having too many fighters up front clutters up your attack and gets your party killed easier cause everyone crowded in and gets hit with area spells.
