There are many ways to "reveal" your identity while in the Drow city. You probably just didn't realize it when it happened. If I were you I would go back to my last save where this isn't a problem. I think you can still continue with the game but you'll be missing out on some of the story if you reveal your true identity.

If you accidentally injured any drow, they turn hostile. If you answer questions not the right way, they go hostile. If you take too long in completing the missions (they give you time limits!), they go hostile. Think about what you did. I think the most common reason is that players get caught up adventuring and forget about the time limits.

I think the problem is that you cleared the three areas around the city before entering. Since some quests reqiure you to travel to these areas to complete them and because you just cleared them as soon as you enter the city you are been attack. If it took you to long to enter the city after you were turned into drow might have cause that too.

Meaning no disrespect exalted Moderator, but I cleared everything in the Underdark (including the side areas) before going into the Drow city, and the Drow never attacked me, so I don't think that it should be a problem.

***Minor Spoilers***

Your problem probably is occuring because you took too long to go to the drow city. There is timelimits on some of the quests and things when inside the, if you take too long you get caught out as a surfacer. The only thing that I can think of that would fix your problem would be to go back to an earlier save and hope it's not too late.

I think you have to go through step by step of what you have done since you got the sun gem...

More info please - are you entering Ust Natha for the first time when this happens? If no, it is more than likely you took too long finishing a quest or chose a bad dialog option. If yes, then an improperly-set global is likely involved.
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

Hack and Slash time

You violated the time limit so your cover story doesn't hold any more. Try to go back to a good save if you can. Or do what I had to do...KILL EVERY DROW IN THE CITY. It isn't that hard and they have some O.K. equipment (A +3 scimitar for Jahiera). Just fight your way to the temple and take the eggs by force. Since you can't rest in the city it may get hard. Just pace yourself right and you should be able to do it. Helping drows sucks anyway.
Real commanders display their battle skill on the front lines.

I've got something to say to you dwarven bigots: "Harglukkin phuul naubol jhal waela rothen ulu ussa!"

He died a natural death as a dagger in the chest naturally kills you.
