Character Help

Post by robinhood7 »

I cant decide what kind of character to be. I am having trouble between a mage, Fighter, Ranger (archer), and Paladin. Please help me out. I want to know how hard it is to play each and if it will be very useful in a party. thanx

You can finish SoA with every class or kit. The classes you mentioned all have their advantages and disadvantages. Just choose the class or kit that you think you'll have the most fun with.

what he said, failing that pick a paladin. :D serious though, don't contemplate playing a Paladin unless you really can get into the RP feel of it. That means no emptying chests and stuff from houses and buildings you visit etc...

If you like standing at the back wowing all with your spell flinging abilities choose a mage or Sorc. Pick a Ranger or fighter if you want to go toe to toe with all your enemies and hack them away with cool swords wearing cool armour.

I think mage is probably the best to play through first time...Chaotic Good. There are plenty of good fighters in the game, so you can get used to fighting with them. It is also good to learn all the spells first time through.

Second time through though (and there will be a second time, I assure you ;) ) go for a paladin or archer.

there's what I think.
