Could anyone give a clue where the key to open the door to the mind flayer area in the athkatla sewers...Just a clue, i would really appriciate that (did i spell that right?)

You'll need the key named "sewer key" that is dropped by Tazok in the Windspear hills.

First time I played the game through I could NOT find a way in there. I had to use the CLUA console to warp into the area and fight the mind flayers backwards!!! (ie, toughest fight first, then finish up with the controlled people) Can't believe my Versus books guide didn;t think to tell me where that stupid key was!!!
