Trademeet for Evil parties

Post by JediColt »

I am an evil party and in trademeet I am trying to do the "poison the grove" instead of fighting Faldorn with a Druid (I have no Druid in my party anyway and Cernd is such a weenie) I did it and Logan got really mad, the guy that gave me the poison hasn't showed up yet and so far I am seeing NO benefit to doing this!! I expected my reputation to take a hit (it is a little high for an evil party anyway so I didn't mind) but I expected some experience or a cool item or SOMETHING. Does anything good happen from this or do I need to reload and do this quest with a Druid?

The guy who hired you should be right outside the inn in Trademeet. You get exp, gold, and a magic item from him.

IIRC, you have to talk to him, he won't initiate the conversation after you've done his deed. ;-)
But long ago he went away
And where he dwelleth, none can say.
For into darkness fell his star
In Mordor, where the shadows are.

Spoiler requested

What item do you get from him?
The waves came crashing in like blindness.
So I just stood and listened.

r there any good ways to lose rep and not missing anything? i have a mainly neutral party at rep 18, one more and they will start complaining, and i have trademeet to do which gives a total of 4 (!) rep. as i have jaheira with me, i think poisoning is not an option. chapter 3, so no chance of turning into slayer ^_^
(does it affect the jaheira romance if my rep goes to high?)

I have wondered if rep hurts romances or not, to be truthful I don't know but I don't think so, my Viconia romance went well, (until she calls it quits after the Drow start showing up to hunt her) and I had a high rep for an evil party (between 12-14). All I got was the usual half hearted complaints but nothing else seemed to be effective.

I found the guy outside the inn, I got about 1200 gold, a Small Shield +1 and NO exp!!!! I decided to go back and pick up Cernd for the fight and do the "good" thing, you wind up with TONS more exp, and I just can't afford to miss out on it. Plus you get over 10,000 gold, it doesn't pay to be evil. BTW, when I want to lose rep points I just find someone by themselves on the outskirts of town and whack them. I usually only do this for the evil members of my party as too high of a rep really freaks them out, the neutral people just make offhand remarks. You DO lose quite a few rep points per peasant though so be careful!!

Trademeet for truly EVIL parties.

Has anyone ever tried cleaning out the town of its inhabitants?

Call me bored, but I'm going to have to give it a shot soon. Forget about the strongholds when you can have a whole town. ;)

Reputation have no effect on romances, they'll keep on complaining about the rep though.
