Just lost 50-60+ hours of work thanks to the stupid game

Post by Angelripper »

I was saving my game in the nightingale court, when in mid-save the game crashed and my desktop came up. I restarted the computer and attempted to load my game.....No Dice....It won't load. So, I try loading the Autosave game. It works for a few seconds, but when I tried to have the party go back to the previous zone, the game crashed again. After turning the computer off for several hours and trying again, BOTH games are now no longer loadable. This is inexcusable and will prevent me from EVER buying any games from this company in the future unless I can get my saved games back. I had the v1.3 patch, but not the new v1.4, which I didn't even know existed until today when I went looking for help to get my games back. Does anyone have a way to get the saved games to work correctly or know who I should ***** to? I already had to start the game over once because of a glitch in the game, but that was still fairly early. I WILL NOT freaking start this game over from the beginning again. It's just not worth it to me. If I can't recover those saved games I'm going to smash the $%&#$# thing. Hell, the game wasn't that good anyway, I just wanted to get to the end. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Ok the game is buggy and many people had problems with it, that why Ubi Soft was forced to develop 4 patches of the game (patch v1.4 was released only two days ago). Now for your problem. I suggest you unistall/reinstall the game and apply the newest patch, this might fix the problem with your savegames if they were not corrupted.

When you reinstall...

if you have it, run Norton WinDoctor. It sounds to me like some files are mucked up in the registry. I always run it when I install anything, sometimes it finds problem, and afterwards I never have any other problems.
