Weapon help.

Ok just picked up the hammer in the keep. The one that is +4 against giant-kin. What in the game is classified as giant-kin. Some one bigger then me or what. I was thinking that trolls might be giant-kin.

It means giants and ogres. Since you don't fight ogres anymore and giants appear in ToB you should just sell it.

I see so as in fire giants. So what is the reason for this weapon in SOA since there is no giants around seems like a waste of time unless you want to keep it till TOB. looks like another sale to Ribald.

Unless I'm mistaken, it works on golems to, but I may be wrong.
Yup, sell it!
The waves came crashing in like blindness.
So I just stood and listened.

By then you got Crom Fayer anyway, so just sell it.

Actually you fight some giants (Ettins) in one of the stronghold quests of a paladin, but you don't need that hammer to kill them, so is just another item to sell and raise cash.

If it's the Runehammer you're talking about, then I actually kept that one around. Once you find the rune to upgrade it I believe it gives you negative plane protection when equipped. When facing a level-draining opponent I dual-wielded it with Crom Faer. Of course, I tend to hold on to any item that can protect another party member from level drain.

Actually the rune hammer is found in TOB. I am still in SOA. I am talking about the hammer you get in the keep. The one that is in the room with the golems. Ans the question is what is giant-kin I am looking for classification of what this is. And what monsters are giant kin. Thanks for the help though. :D

Orge, orgille, adamghfgne Golem, iron golems and basically things that are bigger than you. However, I am not sure if it works on dragons though...
