Bit of a Spoiler

Well, we all know Glacius, the bodyguard. And we all know that he is charmed into trying to kill you. It can be a tough fight for a low level party.
So I thought maybe I could save him. And I did!
I used dispel magic, but it did nothing *grumble* but casting domination did work! WHy, I'm not sure, something about cancelling out the other spell. Neato hey?
He still gives you the flail head, and awhack of exp, 29500 I think.

i personally find charm person a stinky spell, so I never get it. have a mage cast malison, and use ring of uman influence. then, casta dispell magic on him, this houd get rid of your charm and hsi charm..

hes actually quite nice, but a little shell shocked.

one of the bg walktrus mentioned this is how the quest is suppose to be done.

That is the "good" way to do the guest, but AFAIK the quest is buggy, since Glacius is charmed a simple succesful dispel magic should do the trick, but it doesn't there's no way the developers have meant it so that you first have to cast domination and after that cast the dispel magic...

@User, whats with the sudden lack of typing skills? The many hours of cheesing getting to you?

Kind of an odd bug though if you ask me, seeing as how I tried dispel magic first, and then used domination. Still worked...

the dumbass did of course NOT give me the flail head and just ran away. anyone know the CLUA code to get it?
(the ones i have r fire and cold)

btw if u kill TorGal b4 opening the gates and such, it all gets out of order. maybe thats the reason. sux.

Interestingly enough, I got 2 different results playing thru there.
The first time, I did it as described above, i.e. charm person
[both the ring of human indulgence and a spell] and then rested, and he was ok when we woke up.
The second time i used just the ring, but he never turned 'green' , the 'red' circle disappeared and he went blue, so I spoke to him & he was fine, and gave the flail head, without dispel magic or rest.
