SPOILER BELOW ******

This part of the dungeon seems to be a bit buggy, once the helmet is put togther and worn the monster attacking you should be visable and killable. Once dead you will be able to open the door.

It's not buggy. The helm will let you see the Fire-based attacker, but you can also cast several anti-invisibility spells that will do the trick. And to get through to the tomb, you need a key, which you'll get from Samia. She's in the dungeon; you should find her, on the way there. Back up, and check carefully.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

That stumped me, too. But you need to equip the mask, as if it were a necklace, etc. Then you can 'see' the enemy.

For some reason the helm never has worked for me. I usually have a party member cast True Sight.
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

A minor exploit with this item. . .

IIRC, a mage or thief can equip this item as a helmet (there aren't many other things they can). It isn't good for much, but it should at least protect against critical hits. . .and I think it would give your mage a helmet in his animation.

Too bad it can't see other invisible creatures.

keldorn's True Sight will work fine, but Remove Magic, Detect Invisibility and Dispel Magic don't work. The helmet didn't work for me either....haven't tried invisibility purge yet though...
