This is a hard one, I fear....
I've changed some pics of the NPCs with Shadowkeeper.
But in one case I'd need to change the voice!
Is it possible somehow?
Assign one of the PC soundset to a NPC?
Maybe with some editor?
plz..

Hm, check at Team BG to see if they have a utility that can do that.

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

This site will explain how to customize character sounds.:
http://www.planetbaldursgate.com/bg2/he ... ze/sounds/
And this search can give you free sound sets to download.
http://www.fileplanet.com/index.asp?page=search
When you search, the sound sets will be in a zip file so, for example, if you want Imoen sounds type "imoen.zip" as your search criteria.
As far as I know, these sounds are from bg I if ther are sounds from bg II in there, I don't know. Hope that this helps you.

Thanx ltldrgn1, but the problem is more intricate...
That works for a PC, but I need to change the sound for a NPC..
The NPC screen allows customization for the scripts only!
Nobody has a clue??
I'll try to follow Sojo's advice, but I'm not really good in these
things...

Have you tried *.wav's in your override folder?
e.g. rename a clip you like "imoen28.wav" to replace her "Whatcha want?" (in override).
I would have tried this myself before posting, but am currently running w/o a sound card.
I think the same will work for portraits (you won't have to use shadowkeeper, which imho is a great item/creature browser but seems to cause too many problems for over-writing saved games); "NIMOENM" name to the portrait you want to replace her large portrait (just an example. . .hers is actually one of my favs). I think this will also work if you put it in your "Portraits" folder. I know it does for BG1.

Good, curviceps, this could be the right way.
But, more problems, I fear...
I explain, I think others may be interested:
I've downloaded the Solaufein Mod (though I was irritated by the
fact that he attempts to romance EVERY char)
The problems is that (I think) he has no sound assigned to him,
so maybe I cannot even override them...
He says only:
"I do what I must when I must, know this well", the same sound he had
before he was turned to a NPC by the Mod.
I tried to put in the override folder some of the PC sounds renamed to SolaA.wav,
SolaB.wav and the like but it doesn't work...
I'm not sure how to name them anyway, just noted that every files related
to him is named Sola and something.
Maybe I'll write to the author, just hoped there was a known possible
solution...
Any help still appreciated, though!

Thanx for your interest, Sabre!
I already tried that. I found the names with NearInfinity.
The problem is that Sola has a few sounds set in game, if you try
to add the others they are linked to nothing....
uhmmmm. I admit, this one was hard.
But Littiz is not so easily won.....
Again I had to find the solution, and now I share the gained knowledge with the forum!!
Near Infinity (the editor), doesn't allow sound editing.
So I searched for something in the savegames.
Found the stats of the party members. Well, lots of status
flags and the like.
The PC has an allow_export flag. Humm. I thought, if I use
this flag with Sola, the game will maybe consider him as a PC.
eheheheheh!!!!
Right!
The export button becomes active, and so does the whole customize
screen!!!
Now I can change everything, sounds included!
Ok, ok, stop flattering me guys!

Hm, thanks for the info - this is all very interesting!
I'm thinking about trying some modifications of my own, especially since reading about the Berserker Cow someone was playing over at Black Isle's boards.
