We desperately need help!
My son and I have gotten almost through the whole game, and are in "The Church", in Lower Dorn's Deep, where we are to get the final badge from Priest Perdiem. All of the walkthroughs I have read say that we talk to him and he gives us the badge. It ain't happenin'!
The only thing we can tell that may be the problem is that, in his fighting zeal, my son killed one of the other Priests surrounding Perdiem.
Is there anything other suggestions that anyone can offer? We just really don't want to start the game all over again! Yikes! Thanks very much for your time!
we are so stuck!

Welcome to GameBanshee! Did you destroy the Statue in the area? Perdiem won't hand over the badge until you've done so. He should initiate dialog after that. If he doesn't, you can try pick-pocketing the badge off him. Hope this helps!

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

Yes, don't worry about the dead priest - your son didn't kill him (I appreciate the zealotry - wish my mom taught me to kill like that ). Some of the priests are dead anyway - the remainder are all invulnerable until you rescue them.

Well, just as a FYI....we never could get it to work! We did find however, on a Black Isle troubleshooting board, the suggestion to use a cheat code to obtain the badge and move on in the game. (Not that, as the Mama, I like to encourage cheating...but I also don't like to encourage our computer being thrown across the room! )
So, the cheat code was simply "perdiem" , the Priest's name. So, onward and forward, troops.....
Thanks for your help and encouragement!

Yes, throwing computers across the room is very bad and is a practice I like to discourage as well.
