she took me there, and the harpers tried to kill me, i of course won, but she didnt even apologize or anything! i figured i'd get an apology for her stupidity in tking me, but nothin!

I think you need to stay more if you want to end the romance (if I remember well a coupple of week to get all the events triggered), so you have time to do more quests (specially the ones outside the city).
And is important to sleep some time outside.
A good thing to do if you have terminated all the quests out of town is to go to city gates and go to the farest area (druid grove or the Umar hills temple I think) and have rest go back and repeat till the romance comes to an end.
