protection from evil 10' radius

Post by chanser69 »

Hey,

I don't know if anyone else has had this problem... but i can't seem to get my hands on the spell protection from evil 10' radius. I'm not at level 7 or 8 spells yet but i would like to get into the fiend summoning spells but by the time i've got protection from evil on everyone it starts to wear off. My party consists of Minsc, Keldorn, Jaheira, Yoshimo, and Nalia. I've looked all over trying to find where the spell is located or how i could get it but with no luck. Can anyone help?

Protection from evil 10' radius is a clerical spell, mages/sorceres don't have it.
I believe it's a level 4 Cleric spell.

Yes the spell is level 4 for clerics. No one from your party can cast it since jaheira is a druid and does not have access to that spell. I believe that Protection from evil 10 radius is one of the few cleric spells that can be found in the form of scroll too though.

I've only seen this scroll in BG1 - I don't believe it can be found anywhere in BG2.

@Sojourner, I'll take your word on that. :) .

@chanser69, You can import it with Shadowkeeper too.

thanks so much for your help guys... i didn't think anyone would help me out haha. Thats what I was fearing that maybe noone would be able to cast it and I was looking all over for a scroll of it so maybe i can copy it to Jaheira's book or something. So noone has seen a scroll of it in BG2? damn I guess maybe using shadowkeeper is my only option of getting the spell then? I'm not trying to offend anybody here but I'm worried about that if it is considered cheating or not because I want to play the game natural but I still want to have access to the demon summoning spells. Well what do you guys think? Is it cheating giving her the spell or no? or do i have another unseen alternative?

You can always recruit a cleric in your party as the last resort.

IMO any "cheat" that can offer more fun and enjoyment with your game is welcome, and since it is no where nearer from imbalancing the game i don't think why not do it. :)

alright... i'd say your thoughts are justified.. it doesn't unbalance the game it just makes it a little more useful for me. I already used it once today to remove a spell to get another one and that i don't consider cheating... thanks alot :)

You asked for opinions...
IMHO that's REALLY cheating. You add abilities that those chars
shouldn't have. Druids have not spells that mess with good or evil.

I think it's more fun to valorize the abilities that the NPCs have.
If you really want that spell (or other good ones), take a cleric.

But, the game is yours, so it's up to you! :)
