IS MULTIPLAYER ANY GOOD AND DOES ANYONE USE MULTIPLAYER???IS IT BETER THAN DIABLO 2??
thankyou for replying to my last question everyone. but any multiplayers out there gimmie there emails so they can help me when i get it, and ive been told this is beter than diablo multiplayer. is this true??
I haven't played BGII in multiplayer but it would depend, if you have a regular group of gamers to play with on multiplayer, that would keep coming back then, yes I'm sure it would be better then D2 , however if you just want to jump in and hack monsters up with other players. (D2 style) then no, it doesn't provide that kind of multiplayer.
Don't worry, teh singleplayer plot is , well the greatest roleplaying plot to date IMO.
Not like D2
oh so this all killing demon is on the loose? kill...another one? kill...click.click.click.
it doesn't quite work that way.

ACK! the blasphmus game! Diablo cannot even hold a candle to BG2, single, or multiplayer wise. D2 is nothign but hack and slash, and a complete mockery of everything CRPG stands for.Originally posted by LocalLunatic:

Well, um, Aegis? Thought we decided that D2 wasn't an RPG.
Multiplay in BG2 is basicly the same as the single player game, just you have other people controling the characters in your party. You cannot have more than 6 people per online game.

If nothing we do matters, then all that matters is what we do.
Let me play devil’s advocate and say that multiplayer Diablo 2 is much better then multi player BG2. Don’t get me wrong, the BG games are far superior to Diablo in plot, NPC interaction, etc. but they weren’t really designed for online play (which Diablo 2 clearly is). The game is dependant on one lead character putting other players in a supporting role and should the head player die then everybody’s screwed. You also have to wait for the chief character to scroll through dialogue (whether you agree with what he’s saying or not) and it’s surprisingly easy to target friends with spells during the heat of battle. Icewind Dale multiplayer is a little better since there’s not one main character, but Diablo 2 is still much smoother. The Baldur’s Gate series are best played in single player, whereas the Diablo games are made for multiplayer.
Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
