Post by robinhood7 »

I really dont want Jaheira in my party. I honestly dont think she is very good. Will i be missing out on a lot of things if i dont have her in my party. Is the Romance with her really that good? Please help.

Don't be so quick to drop jaheira, she becomes quite powerful if properly equipped. Give her a girdle of strength, and a good staff, perhaps of thunder and lightning and watch her go to town. Think of her as an armored conjurer, who you don't have to worry about being killed in two hits. The romance is near impossible to do right in my opinion but if you do it right it is well worth it.

Jahera may be good later on but i think she is a deplorable character. she is errogant and condescending. when i first got her in my party she constantly lectured me for no apparent reason. i dropped her at the first chance i got.

Yeah, she's arrogant and condescending, put don't you think that's sort of sexy?
Jaheira can become quite powerful. She's not a bad fighter and gets some powerful druidspells (creeping doom!), especially in ToB.
And the romance is very good, although a bit buggy. But there's where patches come in handy. :)

if you install balderdash patches, only she and minsc can cast hardiness, and armor of faith for damage resistance. with balderdash patches hardiness no longer stacks. she can become the best fighter in the game, with extra spell umph for really nastys. think using potion swap to cast extra chain contingency scroll, and put in triple natures beauty, creeping doom or greater elemental summons. give her good armor, and good str belt, and think greater elemental transform, and going after trolls in fire elemental form and greater whirlwind. also she can buff up and become pure killer....

cast aura and globe of blades, and youve got a death spell orbiting her body. staff of ram and spectral brand, and she can kill most dragons solo.

Jaheira is sometimes very annoying. I've had a lot of bugs with her as well (she starts a dialogue with you every 4 seconds so the game gets unplayable) She is a very good npc though. I never use her druid abilities, but she is the npc with the lowest thac0 (-7)

There also come a lot of nice quests with her, so i suggest keeping her

Personally, I have Jeheira in most of my games for one reason...Insect Plague. IMO, this is a must have spell for combating multiple mages and priests. In all fairness, it is a little overpowered, as mages have no shot at all of getting a spell off while under the influence.

Plus, she is a pretty good tank in her own right. If equippped right, she can be a frontline fighter, and Fire Elementals rock, especially against Beholders.
