help the newbie!!! in asylum =)

Post by Hobo Bagskins »

Hello i am new to this site and forum,

I am having a serious problem in asylum (spellhold). Before i start i want to also mention that i have been to Baldurdash and have downloaded all the bug fixes regarding this area. There were none there mentioning the problem that i am having, but used them anyway with the thought that they couldnt hurt, and maybe there was a script in one of them that would have fixed my problem.

The problem is that i have been walking around in circles in the lower 3 parts of the asylum...you know where Bhodi puts you after irenicus sucks your soul or whatever. I found the 2 minator horns and used them to open the doors behind the statue...i have also did all the riddles an stuff in the 3 levels, but here is the problem...i cant exit or escape...the stairs are behind the doors that i opened w/ the horns, but i can only go into the passage that opened up behind them, it wont let me go further. Nor will the cursor icon change to the one that shows that you are getting ready to leave an area via a door. So if anyone out there has an idea as to what might be causing this please let me know, and i will make sure my Priest sacrifices 5 fuzzy woodland rabbits in your honor on this easter day . LOL

Thanks
Hobo :D

There are no stairs behind the door which clicking on the Minotaur statue opens - however, when you move your cursor just behind the door, it's supposed to turn into a staircase icon. Are you saying that's not happening?

yes that is what is, or should i say whats not happening...my cursor is just the normal round movement one, an i can cram all 6 characters in that place behind the doors, but cannot get out? is there something i am supposed to do, besides getting the 2 horns?

It sounds like a bug. Try using the console command to move to the next area:

CLUAConsole:MoveToArea("AR1507")

i had the same thing happen.
just keep moving the cursor around the doorway until you find the 'sweet spot' where the doorway icon appears.
it's there....

LOL OMG thanks Felonious....you were right...lol i feel so dumb...but it is weird, that big space behind those doors, and the sweet spot being exactly right behind the right door. Thank you, thank you very much. :D
