Which classes/kits are the most fun to play?

Post by Ferdinand »

Which classes are the most powerfull and fun to play? I'm planing a party of six and I want a unique character that is fun to play but also powerfull. I play ToB and Ilassera always beats the hell out of me. She just seems too powerfull. I've installed the "improved Ilassera mini - mod" so maybe that's a reason for her powerfull performance?? So, back to the point - please suggest which classes are the most powerfull and fun to play. I'm desperate, please help! :(

I think there three moments when is good to dual:
9th level (new prof. points and max out hit points bonus of a fighter), good if you play SoS only or you have a big party;
12th (extra prof. points) or 13th (extra half attack) if you play SoA and ToB and you have a smaller party (max 5).
For deeper explanation wait for Littiz that is the master of the argument.

The monk is also fun and powerful but can get a little boring, because he doesn't use armor or very many swords. But the fists and the natural AC comes in handy. He gets innate magic resistance to.

I personally love the straight Kensai. The Kit may be overrated, but I played through the game with a party of six. My PC was a Half Elven Kensai with 5x in 2-H Sword and. I used the Sword of Chaos during the entire game for the healing abilities. I did use other swords, but only for the special abilities they provided. I had a great time with this guy!

I think everything depend on your style of playing; a lot of classes are very powerfull and interesting, it all depends on your tastes.
You can read posts about every kits and how they are great.

Wow, thanx lompo, but I'm no master, I've only collected some
common knowledge!

About the level to dual, I agree with lompo.
Six party members, SoA only, go for 9th.
With ToB 13, but I'd say 12 if you plan to use the GrandMastery patch,
or you'll become TOO much powerful!
You can find the patch here , along with a lot of other things.

Of course, there are many good chars, it's a matter of opinions.
I was kidding a little... :)
I said the Kensai/Mage is the most fun for two reasons:
1)Without any doubt is one of the most powerful classes, but actually
has SOME (minor) weak points, so you have to do something about them :D
2)I always have a female pc for the kensai/mage, so I think is fun and
fitting, from a roleplaying point of view, seeing her fighting totally
unarmored and free, but still becoming the most powerful being in the
realms! :)
(and goody! shameless char promotion, yep! :p
At least this explains why I love so much this char...)

For this char the real fun comes from triggers and contingencies,
believe me (again I point this thread) and Xyx's site for spells
knowledge.

Straight Kensai is the coolest and Sorceror is the most powerful by far.

a seriously overpowered party is....

sorc, for the artillery,
inquisitor for bash and hack,
multi thief fighter mage for serious mislead and backstab until youre happy, and spike traps,
cleric ranger, multi for druid spells and longbow, only cleric you need...

is good party, but id you want six, cause you will exploit saradush walls for easy xp, then add

cleric mage
berserker or monk to aid paladin...

yes, you can get korgy aerie, keldy jan and jahiera for the ultimate npc party!!! choose sorc, abolutely the funnest class to play, even if not kensai sorc.

korgie, aerie

WElllll..... i really like playing a thief, but i also like to play a fighter so i decided to do a stalker, totally tough, and if you have TOB than you can get motellos cloak and be a dualwielding baddasss, and the backstab damage is great, and his stats are kinda hard to roll but just take strengh to a 13 and get a belt of strengh early on and his stats will rock so that my suggestion!! :p

It is the exploit where you can get unlimited XP by attacking the firegiants with ranged weapons. Stand on the wall and turn on the AI to standard attack and then just sit back and enjoy... it takes a long time to level though and be sure not to miss a level up because if you gain to levels you still only get one special ability.

If you're just going to sit there forever and exploit, wouldn't it be easier to CLUA experience? Or use Shadowkeeper.. *shrug*

Or do LOTS of quests ;)
