@Jerion, Alson started this thread with a specific purpose in mind: he wanted to know about other players' experience with a certain mod. Please don't spam up his thread with your questions relating to a totally different subject. I notice you've already asked about override directories in the BG2/ToB category. Feel free to edit your initial post there and ask several questions, if you like, but I'm removing your post, here.

I tested a lot of them!
I recommend Deeper Shadows of Amn, but maybe not installing the full
package, I had troubles with the vampires AI.
Also there's a newer version for the improved dragons.
Fortunately, the readme details which files are involved in each
improvement, so just choose and copy in the override folder.

The Improved Kangaxx alone is really wonderful, and the added archlich
battle is maybe the hardest encounter you can face with a party
(not all the party members can resist or be shielded from 4 or 5
Abi Dahlzim!!!! )

Excuse my ignorance, but is this a mod or just something to make it tougher?
The waves came crashing in like blindness.
So I just stood and listened.

@Littiz:
Have you played Deeper Shadows of Amn and TDD? If so, which one is better?

Do you know offhand how many different MODs are available? I've only heard of two.
Jesus saves! And takes half damage!

Oh, no. We're not speakin' about a mod, only modified CRE files
and scripts, and a few areas to spawn different monsters.
Something like Xyx's Smart Beholders and BeholderHiveUpgrade
(which I STRONGLY recommend also).

I've downloaded TDD, but never tried it.
I won't remove ToB for that.

I think there are other SoA-only mods, but I want ToB,
so I installed only Ascension (in addiction to various scripts
and improved fights).
