AFAIK, evil characters will complain a lot, but won't actualy leave the party in TOB.

They really do( or did) in SoA. I heard it was fixed in ToB, so they would only complain. I haven't tested it myself yet, so play at your own risk. :D

Then again, if you want to be really sure they won't leave you in the lurch, you can download Sabre's Happy Script at http://www.users.bigpond.com/qtnt/BGII%20patches.htm.
He has a number of good patches there by the way :)

I've played ToB with the official patch installed (I'm mentioning it for I don't know if it's related somehow or not).

Now, in ToB there was no one leaving my party, no matter how hard did he/she complain. But they do leave if you're playing SoA, and have no happy script installed.

Cheers

It's not so much a "fix," as a matter of the nature of the game. In SoA, you had many opportunities to pick up new followers. In ToB, aside from one obvious addition, you can't go back to your old stomping grounds to pick up new people--so the rep issue was disabled.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
