What type of install do you have?

No, you do not need to install any patches to run ShadowKeeper. I'm not sure what the problem is - if you have successfully installed and played BG2, ShadowKeeper should not give you any trouble. Have you tried downloading ShadowKeeper again, and re-installing it? It's possible it got corrupted, somehow.

The .ULD files are definitely part of Shadowkeeper, so downloading and reinstalling that should fix the problem.

actually, imho and many other people, this is the ONLY forum for rpgs...berst I have ever lurked in, and I;ve done a lot of lurking.

used to be a real regular in ironworks, until they started having server lag problems, they were pretty good, but the quality of info and help here is infinitely better.

To get Shadow Keeper to work properly, you need to unzip everything in the zip file to the same directory. When you unzip the file, there are 11 files in total - ShadowKeeper.exe, Readme.doc and nine .uld files - all of these files need to be in the same folder for Shadow Keeper to run. This have nothing to do with how you install BG2.
