Whoa someone actually dredged up this old thread, I thought it had died a long time ago, apparently someone feels the need for a place against the tyranny of the Spammers and COmmers, or it could be simply that people need a spot to drink and cry deep into their drinks until they are so pasted that they wake up in a zoo someplace the next morning in a cage of babboons wondering why they are in a diaper and sucking a pacifier.
I care not for endings or beginnings, but for the eternal and infinite spaces of the universe, and for the endless exploration of eternity, and mysteries which I will find plumbing the infinite depths.

"Do not turn inward to find peace and wisdom, turn outward instead to find liberation from the narrow boundaries of self", quote from Gary Paul Nabhan, paraphrased of course

"When a distinguished but elderly scientist states that something is possible, he is almost certainly right. When he states that something is impossible, he is very probably wrong" quote from Arthur C. Clarke, thought it was interesting.

I agree the sooner we can wipe out the spammers, the sooner I can get around to getting around to all COMMers, then there shall not be one sober SYMer here, and chaos shall reign supreme, Ha Ha ha ha ha ha ha, oh my head hurts, need a drink.

But fear me, ye foul children of the abyss, for I shall get sober one day, and then shall the earth tremble with my unreleaved angst.

speaking of which...just saw a kid with only 20 posts get banned off SoA...it was nasty, but rules must be obeyed..Guess it's better that way than if he got all settled in and stuff and then got kicked out...which makes me think, can any Mod ban people, or just Buck? Cos the way I'm thinking, there must be some safeguard to stop people getting back into SYM after they've been banned, so if a mod gets angry, what's to stop them just banning every single user and then leaving before anyone can get to grips with them?...

Well, I doubt that the mods have that kind of sweeping power, but , at the same time, I seriously doubt any mod here, if they DID have that type of power, would use it in such a way. I pick on them from time to time, but in all honesty, they, as a group, are some of the most level headed moderators on any board I have seen.

@ Frogus, Only Buck can ban someone, although mods can report serious or repeated violations.
