Firkraag Stomped...but NO loot???

Post by jimbowan »

Hi all,

After trying unsuccessfully to stomp firkraag I left and killed his mage in the room above and then released the captive girl. Then I thought **** it I am gonna try again and went down stairs and suprisingly he didnt initiate dialogue...so I surrounded him and then attacked him. When he was dead he dropped NO items at all! Are they hiiden from my view?? or is this a known bug if you kill Firkraag this way? My leader is a Paladin and I had not talked to the Raiant Heart at the time...is that possibly a problem also??

Help! I want Carsomyr!

No, it shoudn't b in the way you talked. It could be that the items are hidden from view...also, itcould be that you petrified or disentegrated him, destroyin the loot...or it oculd be a bug.

Firkraag is a big lout and it's easy to "lose" loot under him. Let's just hope that you have the savegame left before you stomped him, and then simply go to Kraggie room, rest and check again - after 8 hours the body should be gone and the loot should be more easily visible. If still not, stomp him again..

And there are some spells which destroy the loot, like Disintegrate, Petrify and some more.. If you used any of those, then the loot is gone for good. It's never a good idea to be too ballistic with the mobs with good loot :D

Reminds me of the first time killed him. spent 2 hours fighting him, finally killed him, and nothing....not loot no nothing. had to reload and whack him again. I have had it happen two or three times in my games that he doesn't leave anything. In other words, nothing to worry about if my experiences have been normal.....which isn't really assured. :D

if you got tob installed, use tab button! also be careful of cone of cold, too! this great spell, for fire based creatures, can also distroy loot. his loot is under one of the wings in body, I spent 3 minutes scanning with mouse

Do all this, or just give it to yourself with Shadowkeeper. ;)

Try this, you'll love it, works on 2 dragons so far.

Get at least 2 fairly high level mages in party, both with at least 1 ninth level slot, and chian contingency and spell trigger, and abu dah zim.

aerie is especially great, as you dont need abu dahzim.

load up spell trigger with at least 3 lower resist and greater malison. with aerie dooms too. Both mages do this. but only one mage needs to load up chain for kill spells. had my sorc kensai illegal char load up 1 spell trigger, and aerie, who I wanted to have the kill stat, load up on 3 implosions on chain.

go up to dragon, and unload spell triggers, and the lower resist will turn it hostile, and the chains will fire. one mage has shield breakers, the other 3 abu dahzim, or 3 implosions. the triggered lower resit and malison willd rop dragon resist to magic enough for the kill chain to hit and kill.

it'll be even easier if you just debuff the wurm and give him a chromatic orb spell trigger or a finger of death. if you've got a group you can usually kill him before any spell protections go up (ya got about half a second from the time he goes aggro to when his protections kick in).

or just feeblemind the poor sod. takes around 4 spells to get him w/o debuff'n but he doesn't go aggro.

hell, to make it easier but still with a fight just cast strength and magic resistance. helps out ALOT. (works on golems too, i could just kiss the guy who first posted that cheese ) :p
