Unofficial Expansions

Has anyone played through any of the unofficial expansions. I am thinking of downloading "The Darkest Day" but its quite big so it will take me a while, so i wondered if it is any good?

If you like tons of new weapons, Quest, spells, TDD is the thing for you. Many guys are actually discussing TDD in the TOB forum.

If they are, they're being very hopeful. Currently, TDD isn't ToB-compatible.

Are there other TOB Compatible expansions available for D/L?

And are they free?

If so I'd be very interested if everything is as well scripted (quests etc.) as SoA.

Ascension is a MOD by Dave G (Senior Designer for Bioware) and some fans from IEEAIS. It changes the final ToB battle, rhe dialogue with Balthazar and extends the NPC epilogues.

You'll find it in the Planet Baldur's Gate files.

I'm currently working with a couple of the guys from Ascension on a new quest based around the dungeon of Firkragg. The dialogue should be more PST than BG2 in terms of style and depth. Stats become more relevant and decisons more wide ranging. If you want to be evil, and I mean *evil*, you are given that chance.
