is smite worth it?

Post by UserUnfriendly »

new party, since I finally finished tob will create uber char for fun.

take basic fighter theif, i want nalia keep for stronghold, and raise to 40/40. get greater whirlwinds, use any item, and traps. convert ot sorc, add kai shot, and poison.

add some other fun abilities.

now, one of my fac tricks is to cast a inc cloud deep into a room, and use dragon breath to blow all the enmeies into cloud. evil, and if you knock them out for a round, they fry. is smite worth it as a fighter ability?

Fighter abilities should be used by fighter mage. think greater acuity, and kai and greater whirlwind and critical strike all at once! since each is a spell, greater acuity will allow for a
10 attack per round with melf minute meteors, poisoned, kai, called shot and critical strike attack.

but really, is smite worth it as a knock back tool?
They call me Darth...

Darth Gizka!

Muwahahahahhahahha!!!

Not necessarily, if you've also got all those other fighter abilities active. I mean, do you really want to knock the enemies out of range of your critical-stunning-calledshot-whirlwind?

I find it useful by itself when a fighter is in danger of being overrun, and there's so many baddies about that no matter how many you "smite" there's still one or two left nearby to carve (or bludgeon) once the ability wears off.
