Those Quirky Harpells

Post by Bregan De'Arthe »

I just finished killing Bohdi, and when I exited the dungeon a Harpell teleported in. When I try to speak tp him the response is 'Mavell(spelling?) Harpell has nothing to say to you. Regardless of whom I try to use or if it is the entire party. Additionally he follows me to every location! All I have gotten from this is agravation as whenever I try to leave an area I get the "you cannot do a party transition while in the store" and when I try to rest I get "cannot rest while in dialog mode" I have found a way to rest but this seems to be a bug and not partt of the game. I thought about killing him but I know he's a good npc as I have read ALL R. A. Salatore's books. What gives?????

kill his ass! anybody willing to imprison the single most important character from the sword coast to kara-tur deserves to DIE!

you can read up on "drizzt encounter" too.

Yeah, this Marvel guy is in the game to take back all of Drizzt's stuff if you killed him during the encounter. The fact that he never approached you is an interesting bug though - its not supposed to happen. I also would suggest reading the Drizzt's encounter string below.

Well, he actually claims to show up because he assumes Drizzt was killed by Bodhi & Co, and wants to collect his stuff so Drizzt can get it back after being resurrected.

He takes all you have on you, but if you left some stuff on the ground somewhere and go to pick it up, he will come back to get that as well. He will show up three times for this, and the third time he will Imprison your whole party without you being able to do much about it. Can you say CHEESE!?

He'll show up whenever you have one of eight specific items (Drizzt's swords and armor, Catti-Brie's bow, and some more), no matter where you are.

I was just thinking earlier today about him showing up to take back Drizzit's gear. Has anyone tried using the cheat Ctrl + Q (which will add him into the party) then when it goes to the screen to select who you want out of your party, just select his portrait to kick him out. I did something similar when I hit a bug with a keep messanger, he just wouldn't go away and I couldn't do anything. I just added him into the party and told him to go. He then left, no probs.
I killed a rabid rabbit! I'm experienced now!
