Unseeing Eye Quest / rift question minor spoiler

Post by Lagrange »

So I am going through SOA again with all of the patches installed and the intelligent beholders. I get to the Unseeing eye cult and respond so that the cult becomes hostile. I kill all of the cult and the Unseeing eye. Now I don't have access to the lower chamber and the rift device quest. My journal says that I have completed the quest, but I think I'm missing out on some good magic items. Any answers?

You need to tell them that you want to learn about there cult, then the leader will give you a key.
You know, my last owner always said I was sharp and edgy. Heheh. He was such an ass.

The Rift Device should not be considered "phat lewt", if that's what you mean. ;)

It's fun to use on that Shade Lich, though. :D

Spoiler:

I know that one of the three liches are en route to the lower chambers. Have I eliminate the possibility of encountering that lich?

The Shade Lich rots in the sarcophagus next to Sassar and the other exiles. The lich is not involved in the Rift Device quest.

The Rift Device can only be used once, but does not have to be used on the Unseeing Eye.

I had one of my clones use their copy of the Device on the Unseeing Eye, though, so I still had the original. It seems to deliver some sort of Harm-like effect. I used it on the Shade Lich as well, and he, too, died in one hit afterwards.

Although it seems a pretty cool item, you can't take it out of the sewers...

best dual-wield combo in the game: Rift device and ring of the ram! Nothing survives.
You can't handle the truth!
