not enough evil NPC's
not enough evil NPC's
There is not enough evil NPC's in this game, if someone wishes to make a full 6 person party. Unlike BGI, there were 6 evil NPC's in that one, if my memory serves my well, in BGII there are only 3 to find, plus you. Not that i play an evil character, but last night i decided to start playing an LE thief, dual from fighter. So that leaves me with, Kargain, Edwin, Viconia and if i do move on to ToB then also Sarevok. No, i am not going to keep Imoen. I wish there was an evil bard in this game. Also, i wish they kept Xzar & Montaron, (i think that was his name).

Why on earth could you not accept Haer'Dalis, Cernd or Jan in your party? As long as they're willing to serve your purposes, why shouldn't you, being so very evil and all, use them?

Cernd can cause problems if you want to handle the Druid Grove the evil way.
Jan Jansen complains if you choose the evil options in some of the Underdark quests, but otherwise is probably all right.
Haer'Dalis seems to work well with evil parties, so he'd be a good choice to add to your party, unless you just don't like bards.

There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...
What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

Amen to that! Viccy, Korgy and Edwina are already too much of an evil thing! They are very well scripted and the voice acting is second to none. IMHO, viccy romance is the best among the three and the continuation in ToB is taken to new heights.Originally posted by Phantom Lord
Evil NPCs in BG2 lack quantity but fortunately not quality. I agree that the lack of choice is a little annoying, but you don't need more than four members in your party. Your PC should have some thieving skills, but playing an evil pure or mc/dc thief is certainly fun.
An evil thief (in any class) would most certainly complete the party.
