Axes (check his profiencies!) and later also hammers. Either equip him with a shield or let him dualwield. I generally prefer the latter since later on it's more important to deal out damage fast than to avoid taking it.

SPOILERS
Since Korgy has grandmastery in axes, you can dual wield him with those. He is a mean machine with flails too. I personally never give shields; prefer the extra weapon to protection, which can be given by spell casters in your party.

Axes - Frostreaver + 3 and Stonefire + 3 come to mind. If you have the bonus CD you can buy the K'logarath +3 from Joluv.
Flails - Flail of Ages + 3 rocks! It can be upgraded in ToB.
You can find all the equipment on GameBanshee. Or you can do a search in this forum.

What about TeamBG ?Originally posted by Geckopat
the site seem to provide scripts 4 enemy
rather then party members.
but thx anyway.
To learn how to write AI scripts, check TeamBG's site. There is also an extensive reference on LUA commands here under the scripting section.
