I found that on this forum (VTMR) where only few people to be found. Where are all the other players of the game, or is it not as popular as I think?
I want to talk to people about the game, because it never grabbed me (i don't know how to say it in englsih, so i just translated it from dutch). May be other people can tell me about the game so I start playing it again. The same thing happened to me with Planescape Torment. When I read about it on the boards I started playing it again and now I love the game
So people, give it a shot....

Not enough freedom to decide on your own (opposite of Planescape Torment). Annoying start with that cave. I had to go back to town all the time to heal, the go back in the cave, go back to the city....I got tired of it.
May be when you are in another age it would be an interesting game. But I bought it for the multiplayer-part....and that was crap too

Well I got this game and I never really played it seriously. I don't know why, maybe I played Baldur's Gate too much . I've heard a lot of praise about it but to tell you the truth..it sucks big time!
'They are lean and athirst!' he shrieked...'All the evil in the universe was concentrated in their lean, hungry bodies. Or had they bodies? I saw them only for a moment, I cannot be certain.' -Frank Belknap Long
Just because a story is linear, that doesn't mean it is not a quality game. If you were to play a game like Myst, would that not be linear? The true glory of V:tMR is the story of it all (mixed with a powerful graphics engine). Also, the multiplay feature had great potential. What killed it is people who don't apprecieate RPing, and what it is meant to be. The only ones who played/play were the power gamers.
