If the mirrors are lined up just right...

I am unable to get at BGII at the moment, but I am wondering if there is a catch in this exploit:

Getting about 10(say) scrolls for 'Simulacrum', and putting them in your quick item slots. Cast three (say) simulacra straight off the scrolls, and each of them should have enough scrolls and time left to create at least seven more each, and still keeping your scrolls...Can you create hundreds of simulacra in this way? Is there a lock on simulacra casting 'simulacrum' themselves? Do they get lower and lower levels until they vanish, like black holes?

Is there a problem I haven't thought of?

Very interesting idea! I know chain contingencies can work from quick item slots, simmies... What say you, User?

BTW, slightly off topic, GREAT avatar! ;) ;) ;) :D :D :D :) :) :)

I tried that with the helm, but when I tried to cast again, I got the Item drained message. :D

IIRC, there is.
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

I don't recall if there is a limit on simmies. Obviously, there is with project image but that takes a different effect. I believe if you were using the first simu. to make others via the scrolls in quick item slots, I believe the new simulacrums would reflect 60% power of the first simulacrums, and so on if you chose that avenue.
Crush enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentations of the women.

thanks all...still, it seems to be a hazy area..must test.

@BG-F...You are a hopeless UserUnfriendly deciple! Not a post goes by without you mentioning him! In fact, I think someone's in lluurrvvee...

thanks about the avatar...it's becoming quite popular :)

and nice new sig Ned...

anyway, could there be a similar exploit using 'Wish' off of a scroll? I have never (!) used Wish (the one time I tried, the genie appeared and tehn got killed before even fully un-swirrling), but seem to recall something about you can re-cast spells or something? Is there an infinite simulacra exploit in here somewhere?

ha ha, frogus...does this sound like high school to you???
no, i have throughly corrupted fan, he is my jedi deciple,

"there are always two, a master and his disciple..."

dark side rules all!!

guys, you do have a sort of a spawn limit, never had the nerve to try myself, but 2nd and 3rd generation clones start losing spell ability and item duplication...

the only wish exploit is one i have created, to make minsc less sucky...

have minsc drink potion of insight, and then cast wish, try for rest effect, after you fill up the extra spell slots the potion gives you. fo rthe next 8 hours, until potion wears off, minsc can cast up to lv 4?? priest spells. the same number in those levels like viccy. mild, not a killer exploit...

Yes, User, Ned is right on the money on Simmies, it says in the manual that simulcrams have 60% of the spell caster's level and hit points. The stats on the third is not mentioned, but I believe it should be lesser. Me go check it out. The maximum number of simmies is 3.

BTW, you have been watching too many star wars movies. :) :p :p

@Frogus

No lurrrvvv, froggy, RESPECT! If you had experimented some of User's creations, you gotta give that guy credit! :D
