Well, normally I'd check this myself, but as I don't quite have the resources to do so, I hope you all might be able to answer this for me. And I apologize if this has been asked to death, I could not find a related topic through the search function.
Basiclly I was thinking of making a sorcerer in BG2. I was wondering though, if I could import from BG1 and make that character a sorcerer, thus starting with more xp and better possible stats (assuming I sit around long enough to roll'em). I'd test this myself, but don't have access to my BG2 cd's at the moment. Also looked around online but everything I've read was pretty vague on the subject.
Thanks in advance,
Yoshua
Question for you all

In BGI there are no sorcerer. If you want to play one, you have to create it in BGII. And remember that high syays are not always the worth the re-rolling....

Thanks for the welcome and the info. Wasn't what I hoped to hear, but then again, it's not that big a deal (woulda been nice to have use of the tomes and manuals I guess).
Yeah, I know high rolls aren't really neccessary. I shoot for decent rolls (after all, anybody else other than a fighter doesn't really need a con above 16). I do so as I figure the protaganist wouldn't be some scrawny, ugly pathetic wimp (well, ok, he could be ugly but leading around 5 adventurers into death's waiting clutches still takes presence).
