Dimension Door ( possbile Spoiler)

Post by Warken »

During the Battle with Mae Ver and his goons my woodland beeing casted dire charm ( or someother version of charming ) on Mae Ver and it seems that he is a thief mage, so i circled through his spells and found it, but due him having leather armour equipped i couldnt acces it.
Anyone ever saw the spellicon or eventually used it?

Ok this may be just a little bit off topic but what does this thread have to do with dimension door? There is no mention of the spell at all.

I'm guessing when I says "so i circled through his spells and found it", he's talking about the spell Dimension Door.

I'm guessing what Warken means by "so i circled through his spells and found it" is he found dimension door in the spellbook. A lot of npc's have this for use in scrpted events or cutscenes, but i don't remember mae'var ever moving from the basement of the guildhall.

d door is a sorta like "actors appear on stage, disappear when due to leave"

its suppose to be a very high level teleport spell, but always its scripted, and you cant use it, even if you add to pc spell tables,. its part of the game quests script, most likely will crash game...

you can use and add via sk, faster than the eye, which is a sight to sight teleporter teh game does allow pc and npc to use...

oh yeah, certain enemies like the trapped mage in underdark, and saemon will jump out at appropriate spots to live, and annoy you later, but deathbringer stun will stop the d door script from running, thus you can kill saemon with either a very fast, brutal attack, doing max damage, or deathbringer attack, added via sk...

@User, you of all people haven't gotten dimension door working yet?! I'm stunned! There's 5 DD spells and yes, most of them crash the game when used by the PC. However, the fifth one in the list in SK (SPWI402) works perfectly. I think it's a leftover from BG1.

SPOILER WARNING: link lists 4th level spells from BGI

Dimension Door was implemented in BGI as a fourth level mage spell , but for some reason this spell got kicked out in BGII.
