I have two mages, both that are around level ten. However, neither has spell memorizing capability past level 6. Did I mess up by memorizing too many spells? I can erase one type of spells, but not another. Any tips?
Do you mean scribing spells from scrolls or memorising them once you have scribed them?
If you mean memorising them once you have scribed them into the Spell Book, then you need to be at least level 12 before you can memorise level 6 spells.
If it's scribing from scrolls then, what are the Intelligence score of your Mages? You need to have Int above 13 to scribe spells above level 6 - at least that's what I believe. Also it could be because of the difficulty factor of scribing the spells, try changing the game's difficulty level to Easy/Normal and then scribe them - this is also effected by the character's Int score. The number of spells within one level does not effect the number of spells in another - although there is a limit to how many you can have in each level, again depending on your Int.
In the spell book there are two pages for each level of spell. The page on the right of the screen contains the spells that your Mage have scribed from scrolls - these cannot be remove, unless you have ToB installed. The page on the left contains the spells that you have selected (from the list on the right) to memorise and therefore can cast when you have memorised them - these can be remove, allowing you to choose other spells that are more suitable, note that you have to rest after you've select a new spell before you can cast it.
