I enter the room only with Aerie with spell Immunity (Abjuration) you will need more than one. With flail of ages+4 (Tob) or other weapon that she can use but at least +4 weapon, and got a meele attack, this works for me. I also tried to enter with nalia and imoen with the same spell Immunity (Abjuration) but they both got killed... the Lich has powerfull death spells. I didn't try with minsk raged... maybe work

Luring him to your traps is another way of killing him fast.

Or if you prefer melee, just take your best fighters, spell prot them and let them bash him up with Carso, Ravager, Flail and any good undead-specific weapons that you have.

Works like a charm.

I actually though the watchers keep demi lich was real hard till I realised you didnt all have to go into his room.. duh, so I just went in with one mage and used melfs on him, didnt take long either... the more mages the merrier I suppose, I only had edwin but it still worked fine. Death ward seemed to negate that stoopid demi lich wail

When in slayer form you are immune to imprisonment, so that works well.

if you have a mage in your party, the ring of ram and staff of magi it is quite simple. just cast spell trap an let your mage kill the lich with the staff of magi and the use of ring of ram. by doing this your mage should wear a girdle of x giant strength, and acting under improved haste.

Demi-Lich no-brainer

The best way to kill any Demi-Lich is to transform into the Slayer with your main character, leaving all of the other characters far from him, and beating the Demi-Lich down.
Him Imprisonment spells cannot touch the Slayer form, so do this, and then wait until the demi-Lich is dead, then grab the loot!

My party only had me (sorc) and Aerie. I put mace of disruption +2 (+4 vs undead) on Aerie, cast prot from magic abjuration and started hitting him. Then I used staff of the magi spell trap on my sorc and did some energy blades. Went in and hurled blades untill the lich would switch targets. Then my sorc ran and came back to hurl some more blades when the lich's attention was on Aerie again. Repeat that a while, possibly cast abjuration protection again on Aerie so it doesn't run out. Aerie's thac0 is quite crappy so she didn't score many hits but the blades never miss so it was an easy fight.

I just entered the room with all of my party members, casted improved haste on my chars before entering. I attacked him with all melee and range i could get and he was dead in about 3 sec.
It took me about ten times to do that, because before he just casted death spell(or something like it) on one of my chars and they just dissapeared forever, he did it really fast, but i was quicker after all. :)

oh yeah, i forgot to say that this lich was much less harder then kangaxx. I never actually killed kangaxx, because of some kind of bug. When he had "near death" thing next to his name he never died, but he didnt deal any damage on my chars either, so i could just leave the screen for an hour, come back and see that my chars still kicking him,but he's not dying.

It's not death spell. Death spell is a spell that usually only kills weak enemies and it can kill many on a single blast. Both demis cast only imprisonment. Imprisonment seems to ignore magic resistance and saving throws so it is very effective. It puts the character in to a ball and sends the ball deep in to the ground.

yeah, i know that its imrisonment, but he usually does it to my main char, so its like death to me(i cant cast freedom on main char),thats why i said death spell, i know what "death spell" is though

Or do as I did. Walk in with two guys, launch both my rings of the ram(ok, I cheated a bit), let him follow you out and then attack him with all you chars who of course were waiting right outside.

where?

Jeez I just finished WK and I don't remember any lich at all - are you referring to the second spawn of turning the keys in to gain access to the final seal (i.e between Auramach or whatever his name was) and the 5 baddies? The one with the flaming skulls? If it was, he went down like a sack of potatoes, I ignored the skulls and swarmed him with my tanks all equipped with +4 or better, and using imp. alactricity I hit him with spellstrike, lower resistance and breach, he went down FAST......... (didn't even think he was a demi lich) - don't they transform into a flaming skull after you kill the initial form (like Kangaxx)?
