Hey, a little is better than none at all, right? Image Spam was the only way we survived those first rocky days. We've come full circle now, as spam is now the only thing keeping this old guild from sinking again! Image
Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

* in dual weilding??? :rolleyes:
I couldn't hit anything with the off hand of my kensai/thief with * in dual weilding, maybe you should reconsider this and go for a single weapon style or have *** in two weapon style to avoid the inhuman off hand penalties?

how likely is a thief to carry a flail or a katana?
maybe you could go the insanely tough route and use no weapons, but specialize in one category of weapon that you use just for backstabbing. other than that, just count on sheer strength and berserker might to fight when needed.

just an idea to change it up a bit, an dkeep minsc, and add korgan, a party with rage abilities...at least no one would be imprisoned.

assassin Dual

Hi Guys

I have recently started playing a Human Female Assassin whom I intend to dual to mage at some stage. Love the concept character model looks the best too I must say..

I don't see a reply to the question when is the best time to dual, and which high level abilities are cool.

So do we have any opinions on this?

i played a assassin/mage (the ultimate shadow mage :D ) but i never got to finish it because of a pc-crash.
but i dualed as a lvl 10 assassin just because ad lvl 9 i didn't have enough points in Hide in Shadows.
i don't have Tob so i don't know much about the high lvl abilities.
so dualing around 9/10 should be best because then u have enough points to put in HiS or the other thief abilities (but as a Shadow Thief u should only be backstabbing and poisning the hell out of everyone so u don't need al the rest :D )

Hah!

Hey there, hi there! Glad to see this topic is still alive!

Real Life got a hold of me a bit, as did my PS2. Image Anyone play Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance? It's great! It's actually 5% BG and 95% Diablo, but it's fun and visually astounding. I never liked 3D graphics much, but they finally seem to surpass 2D. If NWN looks as good as this... wow!

man, it's been ages since i played, so i don't have the exact charts memorized anymore. but look to see when your back stab multiplier changes, wait till the next upgrade for that and dual.
dragon's breath and use any item are my favorite high level abilities for those two classes. use any item is just asburdly overpowered.

This is the thread that doesn't end!
Yes it goes on and on my friend!
Some people started posting it, not knowing what it was,
And they'll continue posting here forever just beacause,
This is the thread that doesn't end!

Etc, etc, ad infinitum...

Heh, nice to see the guild never truly stays down. Image Haven't downloaded the darkest day mod (or any other for a while). I'm too busy getting ready for IWDII, NWN, and War3. Image

well dude, the topic has definitely dwindled, but that is to be expected since BG2 is fairly old now. i guess people are movingon to NWN, and soem of us had to get jobs. i've been busier than you wouldn't believe lately. i haven't touched a computer game since january.

*bump*
I just couldn't let it die like this...I thought for sure we would make it to 100 pages.

I'll post a semi-related question.
I'm looking to finally play another game (been too busy), any recommendations for games that are as good as BG2?
