Hey guys!
I've always been a ranger-player and have never finished any BG game with any other class or kit. (I always use Ranger or Archer and were always elves) But now I've been thinking of finaly using a new class. I was thinking of either an elven Kensai, or an elven sorceror, but which is the better??? Or do both of the classes suck???
Which Class???
Which Class???

Suck?
Well, i wont say that elven Sorcerers suck...
They are among the most powerful classes in the game, IMHO, and so does the Kensai...
But, like people here like to say:
it all depends on the playing style

I cannot be controlled.

wildmage is imho the definitely best and most fun mage kit, and i think almost as good as sorc in terms of spell availability. still its a different thing, and u cannot dual to/from wildmage, but u can to sorc i think (or were those kensai/sorcs hacked?). i never played a kensai or any fighter type, but i love my wildmage, most fun party i had so far.
depending on if u want magic (sorc/wild or any mage), combat magic (kensai/sorc, kensai/mage) or fighting, choose ur class and party.
in the pnp rules, can u dual from a wildmage just like from any other mage kit? if u told me the game is wrong there, i would not hesitate dualing a wild to something else via SK (thief maybe) and still cast lvl9 spells (NRD)...

The kensai is designed for fast blinding attacks that do heaps of damage. However, they have an armour class penalty because they aren't allowed to use shields or where any armour. These guys are not the best near the start of the game, however, further into BG2, these kensais will kick some serious arse!

I have a friend you plays as a sorcerer. They say it is pretty cool because they are ready for almost every situation. The sorcerer has points on the different levels, I think, and these are spent with a use of any spell. I have never played as a sorcerer, so mah.
