Tree of Life and Anomen Question.

If I'm repeating something here then please forgive. I was unable to find a thread regarding this in my search.

My question regards the Tree of Life, just before entering. My character has had a succesful romance with Anomen. We are about to head down and it is here that my character talks to members of the group. I had expected some sort of specialized dialogue seeing as how my character and Anomen are together. However, my character speaks to only 3 members of the group, skipping over Anomen entirely, and then the sequence ends. Shouldn't she talk to everyone in the group and not just 3? It's not anything major, I know. But for the story, it seems a bit odd. Is this normal or am I experiencing a little bug here?

IIRC I also spoke to only 3 members of my group last time I did Tree of Life. Dont remember back to the earlier times as they were very long ago.

But I dont think you speak to those you are romancing, you simply assume that given your bond they will come.. this is what I have gathered from Jaihera, Aerie and Viconia romances.. I was not able to dialogue any of them before entering on the seperate occasions.. though if I wasnt romancing one of them then I could dialogue them

I had all 5 speak for me recently when I did SoA through ToB including my romance Viconia and Anomen (who wasnt my romance obviously

Same thing here. My Cavalier Paladin started a successful relationship with Anomen (he's still dead now thanks to Bodhi), but I remember that my cousin had asked me about this when there was a Romance with Viconia. I'm guessing that they don't talk as a couple, but don't mark me words either because I just haven't gotten there yet. Don't worry, though. There's always ToB...

It gets me kind of mad though. You gotta be nice to him the entire game whether he's yelling at you, reading off poetry, or picking flowers ("Do you always go around picking flowers, Anomen?") and he can't even pledge his love to you when there is a sure-fire chance that you both will soon die. Hmph...Oh well, he's got the looks in his favor.

IIRC, when I was romancing Aerie and got to the ToL, it just gave me a maessage, something like: You look at Aerie and need not speak. She is with you all the way. but a bit more longwinded.

I had a short talk with vicky while romancing her. Also along the lines of "this would be a bad time to back down"

Well interestingly enough, I went back to that area of the game where I had saved and this time a different 3 spoke. Anomen did speak to my character. It seemed to be a romance specific conversation. So I guess it's a random thing. I had restarted several times prior and always with the same people speaking. I guess the last time changed some variable. But I do know that it's possible all 5 will speak at this point. I don't know why my game was making it just 3. I'd rather have the speech with everyone since it adds to the drama of that moment.

Oh and on a side note, I agree with you Aqua. Anomen and Sir Anomen could use some different conversations. At times it's like he's got a split personality. I guess it would take too much in the way of resources to make Sir Anomen have totally new speeches.

It's not random - there seems to be some sort of line-of-sight problem in here, which can cause party members to fail to speak up.

I just started it, but let me tell you now...Until you've played ToB with him, you ain't seen nothin' yet! It get's *very* dramatic at one point, but I don't want to spoil anything for you so I'll keep my mouth shut.

But I love your thoery of split personality! But he get's really confusing if he fails his Test. It's like this:

Anomen: If I could, I would like to ask you something that has been bothering me as of late.

PC: Yes, Anomen? I'll help you with everything you need!

Anomen: So you think I was wrong to avenge my sister?

PC: Of cource not! You did what you thought was best!

Anomen: Or what *you* thought was best! You know what? Forget I said anything! Let's just go!

PC:.....Okay, what did *I* do?

See? I personally think that maybe Anomen's romance is the most confusing in competition with Jaheira. They're both just wierd lilke that I guess...

The line of sight was it exactly. I placed everyone right around my character and that did the trick. I had a little conversation with everyone. Now if I could just figure out my ToB start up problem, I'd be set.

Yes Aqua, Anomen's romance is complicated I think because you are actually guiding him in one or another direction. I still think that changing some of his outbursts depending on his knight status would have made his story with the PC a bit more consistant.
