What is the probe for?

Post by NuTT98 »

I understand a probe is used as a lockpicking device, but I already have a pick, how would a probe help out? What's the difference between the two in the game.

By the way the entire damn province is a bunch of thiefs, everywhere you go, people (or other intelligent life) have a pick or probe stashed away somewhere.

The probes are for disarming traps.

They're on chests, and doors. I've yet to encounter a trap that I wasn't told about in advance. If you don't have a probe, you'll always set off an indicated trap. It won't damage the object, but it will damage you.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
