need some serious help here!!!

Post by packy »

I think I may have messed up but not sure here.Have played to chapter 7 and have beaten Sarevok several times but can not get it to take me to Ulgoths beard it keeps taking me right back to the temple and to make matters worse when I went to reload it the last time I wasn't paying attention and deleted the final save instead of loading it......totally confused and its probably starring me in the face.

btw I have already played SoA and ToB went back to play this one so I could import all the way through.......looking to kill time like everyone else waiting for NWN

Thanks in advance for any help,
Packy

I'm not sure why the game won't automatically transport you, but you can simply take your party to Ulgoth's Beard by exiting the Baldur's Gate Bridge map on the North side.

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

so if I just go to out of there will it register the exp points for killing saverok or do i miss out on that? And is it important or not that I don't have the "final save" to go from and why won't it do another final save now?

The game makes a Final Save when you first enter the Temple of Bhaal. If you're loading a game from inside the Temple that isn't the Final Save, you won't see it making a Final Save.

That is my point I had the final save then deleted it by accident now I can't get it to do another final save and it will not do any of it for me this happened after I found I couldn't make the jump to the tower so kept playing it over and over to try to make it work and finally screwed up and deleted the final save by accident.
So am I totally screwed or what???

No - if you have a save from prior to entering the Temple, you can play from that.

I had this problem about a year ago. I can't remember all of the details, but you have to load a patch.

I believe you can find it on the ToSC disk, but if not then log onto the Bioware site and they should have it.

Good Luck

well I played the game all the way through again and found it sooooo much easier the second time through but alas I still couldn't jump after the fight with sarevok so I did the patch that Iberean mentioned and now I have even more problems. LOL

when I try to load the game now it asked for disk 6 then disk 4 for an area so I realize I need to blow it out and reload it right?....wrong.....the uninstaller won't work......so what do I do now.....anyone

waiting impatiently so I can get my BG fix LMAO

thanks in advance,

You may have to uninstall your game manually. What type of system do you have?

Which area are you trying to leave? What happens when you leave?

Hm, that sounds strange. Do you already have the latest patch? If so, I'd recommend uninstalling and reinstalling the game. Don't forget to run the Mconvert utility when you reinstall TotSC.
