combat tips for a newbie

How does one handle multiple enemies? I'm in the egg mind, and am having a heck of a time trying to attack and kill two people at once...

What kind of character are you playing? In my experience if you are having trouble with a fight there are 3 things you can do:

1. Leave it and come back later stronger and more prepared.

2. Change the rules - use a spell to immobilize one of them, or go invisible, or try the back way (if there is one)

3. Go all out on them - use some potions of strength or speed, cast a bound weapon, pause and drink a healing potion in the middle of the fight. There's plenty more of all that stuff around so go for it.

Also, when fighting multiple people concentrate your attacks on one until they go down, then switch targets. Try to use the terrain to bottleneck them so that only one can get a shot at you.

Hope that helps ;)

Alternately, try to lure one away by shooting at him with a bow, then either slice him to bits or knock him unconcious and beat upon his body.

I tried going through the back way in the egg mine quest ( there is a back door to the area that the bad guys are in) - its pretty good because if you stay right by the door 90% of the time only the woman will attack you, then once you "correct" her, you can go find the man and "correct" him. One other trick is to stay right by the door, then if you are taking a beating run back through it - they wont follow and you can heal and buff (or just leave).
