Is it a good business?

Post by Nike87 »

I have found out (not I'm alone) that in BG 2 you can earn money by reselling stolen goods in Shadow Thiefs guild. Do you think it is just good business or some kind of cheating may be?

I believe it's roleplaying....some will claim it's a bug.

It's your game , if you feel it's cheating don't do it..What does it matter if everyone else thinks it's cheating. If it makes your game enjoyable do it.

I enjoy game with doing it,if I know it's legal,if developers did think that someone should guess about that affair.
You can cheat, thinking that is the way of walking through the game.

If you enjoyed it go ahead. Stealing was put in the game by the developers, as was selling.

Now if I wanted to "cheat" to get money there are easier ways to do this..(CLUAConsole)

My point being...(Everyday this same question comes up) if you have to ask is it cheating, you have already made your mind up it is. Why ask other's to judge how you play your game?

Here is a test to do to see if the developers took this into account:

Go to Waukeen's Promenade and steal something from one of the outside merchants there. Next try to sell it at the Adventurer's Mart.

@Nike87 ..certain merchants know if it is stolen. A message will appear telling you that this merchant doesn't accept stolen goods.

As for the cheating part...I just meant there are easier ways.

I look at a thief stealing as part of roleplaying....most thieves steal to make a profit...so selling the stolen object is just another part of roleplaying.
