Thanks for any help in advance, and sorry if I'm not allowed to post this here.
I am in Olgoth's Tower, and after I go downstairs (from the main floor, where you find the guy who's laying on the floor and needs a salve to help him), there seems to be no way back.
I've gone into the basement and the lab and I'm pretty sure I've done everything, but I just cannot figure out how to get back to the starting entry floor.
There is one area where I cannot get into also, but mo matter what I do it will not let me past the locked secret door.
Help?
Help with The Darkest Day possible here?
Now I think I really need help with The Darkest Day

So I'm playing The Darkest Day and I'm in the crypts and going after the vampire people, and all of a sudden (in the middle of a battle) it goes to a cut scene and I see these four mages who say they've got the source of the problems, and then they chant and steal my soul and I just die! It doesn't seem to matter if I continue attacking the vampires or try to leave the place, it always goes to the cut scene and they kill me. (my main guy, so game over)
Is there a way around this? I'm really hoping so, 'cause I guess the game's over if not.
Here are details about my game:
I've allied with the Shadow Thieves. Still chapter 3, have gone through Olgoth's Tower (mostly), have not completed any areas outside of Athkatla, except for Olgoth's Tower and the city that you get there from. My time as at 8 days, 6 hours.
As a hopeful workaround, I have just rested in the dungeon, and will try to get back to town. But if I've missed something that I need in order to continue the game without getting killed, could you possibly just tell me what it is?
(oh crap . . . resting didn't work either)
