Hell, it looks good on a resumé :D . Seriously, though, I find that lay-out in HTML is such a pain! I'm trying to put a webpage together (offline version) in my spare time and I hope XML will prove trustworthy in making the lay-out (among other things) much easier ** hands Sleep an MC² ** Enjoy ;) ! ** starts filling a BS-sized pint of beer ** I'll just stay the same old, pleasantly disturbed SLURRer that I am, XML or no XML :D

EDIT: post 500! Paaaaaartyyyyy!

Is it just me or does this thread look like it is degenerating into some sort of Tech Net discussion?

@Sleepy,
I am not sure what you are getting at with Style Sheets. I thought that the whole idea was that you can have 3 levels of CSS effecting a page.

Level 1 - Local tag formtating. Applys to tag only.Takes precedence over everything.
Level 2 - Page style. Applys to page only. Takes precedence over linked style sheet.
Level 3 - Linked style sheet. Applys to any page that it is linked to.

I think that there is also an order of precedence for linked sheets, but I have never used more than one on a page, so I don't know for sure.

The main problem I have with them is that they are still not supported by all browsers. And where they are supported, they are inconsistant at best.

I have not had a chance to use XML for anything yet for much the same reasons. From what I have seen, it could be easier to use than HTML as every tag can be user generated and defined. It still requires programming disipline as, apart from anything else, it is case sensitive.

Post no. 500 for Eerhardt! Time for another "100 post" party! Pass a MC² down this way, @Eerhardt!

I assume we're all okay with the Doors for music?

Sorry I haven't been around much tonight, I've been working on one of my many evil schemes.

Ole it is. **Wanders down to the lab, brings back Ole and the latest specimens from the lab's hydroponics setup**Who wants to go on the two remaining mouthpieces? (If anyone takes that and makes a dodgy comment I will be very disappointed in them  )

@Rob-hin-what sort of music do you like? I've got quite a fondness for Mike Oldfield's earlier work, but so far I've yet to meet anyone else who likes it too, so it's not like you're the only one who likes unusual music. ;)

Ole's not a "the", it's just Ole. **Draws a deep breath from Ole**.

@Rob-Yep, SLURRs have the most powerful common ground of all-a deep seated love of all things alcoholic, and some things psychotropic as well. ;)

Yoda week is over, so it's goodbye to Yoda and his wonderful doobies and back to the familiar charms and rugged good looks of Jim :D .

Just as well we cranked out Ole, because this is my 900th post!

Viv is in the BG2 forum, arguing that halflings make better partners than elves. I've just come back from saying otherwise.

Pervy hobbit fanciers seem to be everywhere these days. :D

I merely am arguing the facts. :D

Elves:
Dex: 19
Con: 17

Halflings:
Dex: 19
Con: 18

:D

Clearly, Halflings are superior lovers. ;)

I also pointed this out in the BG2 thread, but here goes. Ignoring your comment about halflings being more desirable because they're "funny looking" (: (?), the extra point of constitution is well offset by the halfling's need to use a stepladder to do something so simple as give you a kiss. And of course it's far harder to appear as an authority figure to one's children if they're almost a foot taller than you, as is likely to be the case for the halfling parent with quarterlings :D .
