Annoying error

Post by Andy Strawn »

When the game loads several areas, the computer crashes. It just freezes. Not the blue screen but it just stops when the loading bar is about 1/5 way up. CTRL+ALT+DEL won't work, ALT+F4 won't work, and if I keep pressing them I get that retarded CPU beep.

So far, all the temples in the Temple District, the entire Bridge District, and the Temple Ruins are totally inaccessible. Just now I reinstalled both SoA and ToB with patch and of course no editors or cheats used. This is so frustrating because I want to do the quests in the Bridge (so many of them!) Any help would be appreciated

What patch did you use? If you install the incorrect one, it will cause major problems. The correct order of installing is:
  • BG2 - SoA
  • ToB
  • ToB patch
Make sure your sound and video card drivers are current. What type install do you have?
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.
