How do you mean, "turned into a bound longsword?" Casting a spell of Bound Longsword generates a new weapon that temporarily replaces your old one.

*** Spoiler ***

The sword is in Balmora in the tower just near the Blades chief. Last floor there's a guard guardin it but if you jump as if you wanted to go ON the bed you'll end stayin suspended and covered by the column, this way you can grab it without sneakin ;)

Lemme know if you succeded and how's the sword naturally :p

The sword is a katana but when you activate its magical properties it turns into a bound long sword..

hey I got a pretty cool short sword from killing a demon lord in the ruins North West of Hla Oad. It was called Dwemer shortsword and by far the best short sword I've seen in this game(although I have only covered a relatively small area of land so I imagine there are better ones out there). It does about 11-20 damage. Wasn't enchanted though, but I fixed that.

Who said shortswords are for women? Do you expect me to sneak up and backstab people with a 2 handed battle axe? Maybe my theif should carry heavy armor too?

It's in Balmora in the East tower I think... at least somewhere right by there. On top of a chest of drawers if I remember right.

I can't get sneak to work for me at all so I can't get it. I've heard if you sneak for like 3 minutes it raises but I've tried every available thing I can other then trying to pickpocket stuff :(

Ok, I feel REALLY dumb now. I thought it put it in u're inventory but you have to click on the armor when it's displayed. I thought it would place it in u're backpack... not just highlight all it's properties. The first time I used it I was close to it so I didn't notice a difference. Then everytime after that when I hid behind the post I was to scared of getting CREAMED to get it...

BTW, is that considered a stolen item?
Cause I know after you kill someone then loot their chest they don't consider that stolen.

WOOHOO, I finally have access to what I've been wanting forever :D

*** Spoiler 4 A3GiR ***

I've found the daedric longsword during a Morag Tong mission in Shara in the same isle where Dragon Fen (?) is. Shara is a very hard to spot cavern in the south west of the isle. Inside you'll find skeleton champions and a daedra lord (i think) that carries the sword. There's a mage too but he's the Morag Tong target so watch out if you don't wanna ruin the plot (anyway he's isolate in another room).

Good luck! :D
