Can anyone tell me or direct me to a site that explains the major differences between 2nd and 3rd edition rules. Is BG2 using 3rd ed?

Check out D&D @Gamebanshee
or the rules section @Official Site of PoR:RoMD.

BG2 uses 2nd edition D&D but i believe they have added some features from 3e.

No, BG2 was released long before 3rd edition, and therefore did not use and 3rd Edition rules.

There are tons of differences between 2nd ard 3rd Edition. Sorry, I don't know a site, so my only suggestion is to buy the handbook.

After reading the site provided by Demis I see that BG2 did incorporate some 3rd ed rules.
Thanx D.
