Keep Away from My Equalizer!

I really don't know why I'm so hooked on this Long Sword, but I just can't part with it! After all, it does +6 damage to any other alignment other than Nuetral, making it useless in the Druid Groves, but I finally realized why I'm so attached to this sword...

Remember Kangaxx the Demilich with 50 hp? Gone and out with two critical hits! That little bugger didn't even have a chance to cast a spell when I had my hasted Paladin go in after him, but I didn't even know I was using the Equalizer. I actually thought I had the Carsomyr equipped...But nope. It was the Equalizer, all right. I love this sword!

So now I gotta ask this: In your opinion, what is your favorite weapon/defencive equipment/spells that are just too good not to have?

By the way, I'm sorry if this post has already been done. I haven't found anything like it exactly, and I just want to get my charactors at the top of strenght with only the best equipment!

If you have Sola mod, you fiight kuorisan and his sword is soooo good is cheezy, its 1d10+4+2d4 poison and everyperson who does damage to you gets a melfs acid arrow to the fo-hed, that is the absolute coooolest weapon ever!!!

Tough one......though the Silver Sword is a little on the cheap side I always end up using it (lack of willpower i guess

).....once again all the reflection shields attract me (Can't stand not using them, though I've tried).....Crom Faeyr is pretty cool (Especially on halfling fighters...heh heh) Blackrazor if you take a certain path is a must....Ranged weapons: Tansheron's and the Gesen Bow....Red Dragon Scales for armor. I only used a couple of spells: Breach, and Magic Missile...my fav's and they're pretty damn useful as well. Too many items that were useful to remember though.

Are you sure? The Equalizer is always considered a +3 weapon regarding what it can hit so shouldn't be able to hit Kangaxx(unless you are referring to the lich form and not the demi-lich).

equalizer is a +3 blade normaly. the dmg goes up by one each time the algnment of the enemy is farther from neutral.

example

true neutral druid-1d8+3
lawful+chaotic neutral bard-1d8+4
lawful evil+chaotic good barbarian-1d8+5
and so on and so forth

kangaax is chaotic eeevile i think so the equalizer hits as a +7 to him

Hi,

The Equalizer is consider a +3 weapon. It will not affect the demi-lich form. The damage is odd from a low of 1d8 for true neutral to a high of 1d8+6 for LG, CG, LE & CE.

It does have it's uses, but the demi-lich is not one of them.

Okay, um...somethin' freaky just happened. I no longer have the Equalizer, but I do have the blade, the hilt, and the pommel jewel in my inventory. WIERD...I guess I have to take it back to that Cromwell guy. Um, I wonder if this is normal?

island, one time jahira got the kangaxx kill score, and all she had was sling of seeking with +2 bullets...somehow, she finihsed him off...

yeah, teh equalizer is +3 to thaco....

i like it in off hand for mind shielf and chaos protection, but the sola mod moonblade +5 is now my fav sword...
far too good for sola...

acid katana in main, moonblde in off...whoo hoo...

wait just a second, here...flametongue in druid grove is +1, but is +4 to undead, but does nto add to thaco...i think thaco is entirely diff from to hit, like you need a high plus weapon to score on kangy, but +4 to damage should work just fine too...

hmmm...
